Hans Fischer I

 

The Brothers Grimm; 'The Adventures of Chanticleer and Partlet" with incredible lithograph illustrations by Hans Fischer (January 6, 1909 – April 19, 1958), Published in 1950. I cannot believe that I have not covered the work of Swiss artist Hans Fischer before as I own and love the book Pitschi, so I will hav to dig out and share some more treasures by this beautiful illustrator.

The Bookmark Project is an auction of some incredible works to raise funds for the Katiyo Primary School in Zimbabwe. There are some incredible illustrators who have donated their work and bidding starts on May 6th at 6pm GMT.
